On September 22nd in prime-time, CBS will be airing "A Dr. Phil Primetime Special: Family First".
On this show, for the second time in 2 years (first show aired in November of 2002), Dr. Phil will show America's Moms how to potty train their toddlers in one day.
Narmin Parpia, a Houston Mom was inspired by his first show to create The Complete "Potty Train in One Day" Program, which is the only product that provides Moms with all the tools required to use Dr.
Phil's Potty Train in One Day Method. The Complete "Potty Train in One Day" Program is available online at http://www.pottytrainingconcepts.com/ and in retail stores in the US and CanadaIn November 2002, Parpia watched Dr. Phil with excitement, because she knows this method works.
After all, she had successfully potty trained her two boys (now 9 and 12) using a similar method. Thinking about the challenges of tools available gave her the idea to develop The Complete "Potty Train in One Day" Program.
She used her engineering background to design and develop dolls to be drink and wet-on-demand? (Patent Pending)."The biggest challenge was getting all the tools together, especially finding a doll that drinks and wets" she says.
"When I did find a doll, it had a straight tube from the mouth to the bottom, and as you can imagine, it was challenge to have it drink and urinate in the potty.
Also, the doll I purchased did not come with any "big kid" underwear, so I had to sew underwear for the doll".The anatomically correct drink and wet-on-demand? dolls are named Potty Scotty? and Potty Patty?.
The Complete "Potty Train in One Day" Program, not only includes these dolls with all the appropriate accessories, it also includes a Potty Chair and a Toilet Seat, 6 pair of "big kid" underwear for the toddler and a Potty Training Guide authored by Parpia.
Today, Potty Training Concepts is a growing company with customers all over the USA, Canada and Australia.
The Complete "Potty Train in One Day" Program for Girls & Boys, The Potty Scotty? Kit and The Potty Patty? Kit are available online at http://www.pottytrainingconcepts.com/ and in stores in the US and Canada..

Potty Training - To Train or not to Train?
I have always found the notion of toilet training a toddler to be a bit much. I didn't feel right about pushing my girls to do something I felt would eventually come naturally. At three years old, both my girls were potty trained ... not because I read books and raced them to the porcelain each time I suspected they should go. They knew what the potty was for.
They knew when they had to go. They'd figure it out on their own! Well, by golly, they did! Sure, we went a little stupid each time they were successful users of the throne and they got rewards and accolades just like the kids who were put through a regimen of potty training tactics fit for Patton's soldiers. But we never made it a big issue in our house and, consequently, it never became an issue. I've known parents who felt they had to potty train their babies at two or even younger to enroll them in preschool. We, instead, found a great preschool that accepted kids in diapers.
Their philosophy was that the children...

Puppy Basics: Potty-Training, Reprimanding, and Rewards...
Potty Training Your Puppy:Make sure you feed your dog at regular times every day as this makes bathroom breaks regular as well. Feed your puppy 2-3 times a day. As soon as he is finished eating, take him to a grassy "potty area". Speak the words "go potty" or "go in the grass" before and while he is eliminating. Be sure to praise him when he is done.
What you are doing is building word associations with the dog that will allow you to encourage his potty activity on command. This comes in handy when you and your dog are at unusual locations and at pit stops during long haul travel. It also saves you from cleaning unwanted fecal material off the carpet at home.It is a good idea to train your puppy to use a place where you can easily clean up and dispose of the droppings into the sewer. This is because worms that infect dogs and make them sick get spread around through the eggs or larvae found in the feces. Some, like the roundworm, can also infect children.Reprimanding Your Puppy:Talk...

Puppy Crate Training -- Fast Track to a Contented Dog
Puppy crate training is one of the most effective ways to housebreak your new puppy.Puppy crate training takes a little patience, but it's a good way to set your puppy on the right path. This method has an impressive track record.Be sure to prepare everything ahead of time. Even before you bring your new puppy home, have the puppy crate ready and waiting.
The size of the crate is important.
For proper puppy crate training, you should have plenty of room in the crate for the puppy to turn around, stand and lie down, but don't get one that's too big.
Puppies feel uncomfortable in a crate that's so big they rattle around in it. If your puppy is a breed that will grow large, it's okay to buy a bigger crate for him to grow into, but make sure it has an adjustable partition in the back. This lets you keep his living space comfortable and cozy, but you can still expand it by moving the partition back as your puppy grows to full size. When you are ready to begin puppy...
