Asked if he had any recommendations on increasing the role of father's involvement in potty training Avid stated "there are a lot of products that have been developed in the last couple of years that are well suited to getting the father more active in the process. For instance in 2004 we began carrying several urinals that are designed specifically for the special needs of boys, namely, the boy can stand up while he urinates into a miniature man's urinal. I would suggest that fathers take some time to demonstrate to their children, and boys in specific, how they use the restroom.
